Health and Safety Advisor

Contract: Permanent

Location: Tower Hill, London

Salary: £34,000 p.a. + benefits

If you are a qualified Health and Safety Advisor looking for a wider range of experience in a complex but very rewarding environment, the opportunity to develop new skills and the ability to apply your own initiative and judgement, we would like you to join our small, highly regarded Health and Safety team.

St Mungo’s is a registered housing association and charity providing accommodation and support services for homeless and other disadvantaged people, many of whom have complex support needs including mental health and substance misuse. The Health and Safety team’s activities are vital to the safety and recovery of our clients so your work will make a real difference to helping change lives. You will meet and interact with our clients on a regular basis.

You will:

  • Carry out health and safety audits and inspections;
  • Deliver training to managers and staff;
  • Provide a high quality and responsive advisory service to St Mungo’s across all services and residential properties.

You will be passionate about health and safety, have a really good command of detail, and be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. You will be customer focused and have a track record of building great working relationships with a variety of people. You will also have an awareness of the needs of clients with homelessness, substance misuse and mental health issues and be able to cope with people who may display challenging behaviours.
