The Role Lush is looking for a Lead BA to work remotely from the UK or Europe (with the option to work from selected UK and Europe offices where available). You’ll be working as part of a product-centric engineering team who design, build and maintain both new and existing products and services.
As a Lead BA, you’ll be part of a key group of Digital Leads acting as subject matter experts and using your technical expertise to scope and deliver projects, offer strategic input into process improvements, and ensure effective knowledge transfer across your discipline as well as with key stakeholders. You’ll be skilled in asking the right questions, removing blockers and building connections across the business to get things done.
You will contribute towards product development and ensure the work you deliver is of high quality. You'll work across a range of our services such as Subscriptions, Lush Pay Tills, Commerce, and more.

Responsibilities;
- Lead, develop and support a team of Business Analysts across multiple projects, obtaining an expert understanding of how the team and the work fits within the context of the organisation.
- Analyse a business problem/project to create requirements documentation, user stories and diagrams that enable our engineering teams to deliver a project to scope.
- Standardise the way we do our research and analysis and prepare requirements documentation
- Contribute to improving business analysis processes
- Maintain and improve BA documentation and be comfortable diagramming process flows, sequence/flow diagrams and preparing user stories in Jira
- Perform an initial discovery & definition for all new projects, features and change requests and be comfortable breaking these requirements down into logical phases.
- Create, thoroughly understand and disseminate the requirements for each project and ensure change requests are discussed and detailed with the necessary team members/stakeholders
What you’ll need
Essential experience;
- Working as part of a remote team
- Leading a team
- Building and managing stakeholder relationships
- Running UAT sessions with senior stakeholders and external customers
- Working with a diverse group of stakeholders and managing conflicting requirements.
- Working with data and analytics teams to evaluate criteria to determine the impact
- Supporting the data discovery, analysis, definition and design lifecycle in response to business challenges and objectives
- Sourcing and utilising additional sources of data that provide insights into business problems and objectives
- Analysing software, design and user strategy to ensure they meet requirements
Essential skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (both technical and non-technical).
- Understanding of microservice design principles
- Advanced knowledge of Jira and an understanding of user stories and estimation.
- Great workshop/meeting facilitation skills. I.e. Facilitation of backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions.
- Be open, honest, direct, and comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
These aren’t essential, but it would be great if you also had;
- Strong knowledge of business analysis and systems analysis including current state assessment, requirements gathering and definition, process design and solution design
- Professional qualifications, or equivalent experience (BCS Business Analysis Practice, Requirements Engineering, Modelling Business Processes)
- Experience using drawing tools such as Draw.io or Visio
- BI, data analytics and reporting experience
- Data visualisation skills
