At more than 3,000 acres, Woburn Abbey Deer Park is one of the largest conservation parks in Europe and is a sanctuary to more than 1,200 individuals from nine species. It also includes Woburn Abbey Deer Farm set up in 1993, with a long term vision to maximise the potential of the Woburn Red Deer genetics.

We are looking for an experienced, committed and proactive individual to manage our world famous deer herds, including the deer farm, genetics, liaison with our partner in New Zealand, as well as wild deer management. Additional duties include all aspects of running a small department to include budgeting, invoicing, and marketing.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record and extensive experience in managing a deer park, deer farm and wild deer, together with knowledge of the world deer industry. You should also have good leadership skills, work well in a small dedicated team, have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and be able to maintain and build on existing relationships both internal and external.

As Head Deer Keeper you will receive a competitive salary package, including pension, vehicle and housing. A clean driving licence is essential as well as excellent references.
