Diversity matters

We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future.

We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!

Who we are

You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. We put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts - whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

The role/team

We’re looking for a brilliant Junior Digital Designer to join our Commerce and Brand Content teams to play a key role in the design and delivery of marketing materials and brand storytelling content for our digital platforms.

You’ll support the team with the design and artwork of creative material, working with the Seniors Designers as well as the wider Digital teams at Lush.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise, design, and build impactful animated content, GIFs and motion graphics that elevate campaign storytelling for website, emails, display and paid social advertising
  • Use our creation tool to build story content for our website.
  • Work closely with Category Leads and the Digital E-Commerce team in the delivery of animated content briefs
  • Follow our Brand Guidelines to make sure creatives are consistent across all touchpoints, as well as ensure to follow supplier guidelines.
  • You will keep up to date on current trends and competitors, and come up with ideas with the best support for customers connecting with our brand and products.
  • Work with other departments and key stakeholders to ensure that messaging and assets delivered in support of our fresh handmade cosmetics are delivered, on time and to great standards.
  • Communicate with key areas of the business, guaranteeing the delivery of a great design service.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and a user experience design tool (so experience with this would be beneficial but not essential)
  • Previous experience in HTML, CSS, and animation.
  • Work alongside the Senior Digital Design Team, the broader Design team, the Marketing team and the Web team to help create effective unified campaigns across all mediums
  • Ad hoc support with Designing emails in line with website style for mobile and desktop view including helping with testing emails and web content where necessary

Skills and experience:

  • 1 - 2 years e-commerce experience
  • Continuously update and maintain any promotional and internal design materials
  • Keep up to date with trends, best practices, digital advancements, and competitors to help improve the team's approach to digital design
  • Brand guardianship across our portfolio, ensuring design consistency is upheld
  • Willing to provide creative support to the wider design team whenever necessary
  • Creativity! As well as great communication skills and a keen eye for detail
  • A keen interest in digital design, a strong creative flair, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team
  • Bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, always striving to improve
