FY20 Sales - £2.6m, FY20 Units Made - 650,000

FY21 Forecast - £3.6m 

The department has seen huge growth in the last 12 - 18 months and even with COVID 19, it has been one of the only growth categories in the previous FY. The future is bright for this little turned big department with more products to be added to the range and the potential for more global orders to be centralised in the UK. This is an opportunity to join a growing team with an ever expanding product range and with that will come some exciting opportunities for the UK Perfumes team!

We pride ourselves on providing 5 star service and although we are a small team we have a great team ethic. We are on the lookout for someone who can join the team to help us continue to build on the huge growth that Perfumes has already seen. We are currently seeking and planning for a new, larger space to call home for Perfumes.  

Role overview

A key part of this role entails overseeing the production from start to finish, ensuring products leave us in the best possible condition. Other areas of the process are equally important, raising orders, ensuring staff targets are met and our customers are well looked after to ensure that we achieve maximum fulfilment to our customers.You will be working closely with the Perfumes Stock Manager and the Manager in this evolving department. 


Responsibilities within this role include but not limited to:

Great Communication (local & global)
To provide clear and concise communication to all levels and areas of the business both internally and with our external suppliers. Work on global communication with our other manufacturing sites across the world supporting them in any way we can. You will need to be an excellent communicator to keep your direct management and the whole team up to date with everything happening in the department and the Lush business. Be able to represent your business in any meetings. 

Training and Development (self and team): 
To work with and support the current management team, giving training, guidance and direction when required.  To have the ability to talent spot within the department and identify the next people to progress in their careers, whether that is in the department or in another area of the business.  

Planning
To work with your manager and the stock manager to help and support with the day to day running of the department. Xmas is a crucial time for the business so you will be a key figure in the decisions and ideas for Xmas with the other members of the management team. Future planning is key and you will always need to one step ahead whether it is regarding production, staff or space. 

Staff Management, Direction and Structure
To have an understanding of the structure of the Perfumes department. To be a leader and lead from the front when it comes to staff management and engagement along with the department manager. To be approachable and be able to make decisions by yourself and as part of a team. To have reviews with the team and your management team. Give clear direction and any feedback, positive and developmental. 

Fulfilment
To understand what drives fulfilment and strive to achieve 100% . Being able to communicate on any reasons why fulfilment has been missed and work with and support the rest of the team to achieve maximum fulfilment. 

Quality: 
Ensure quality control of the product and packaging and all aspects of work are monitored within the department and any issues that arise are dealt with in a timely manner. 

Maintaining Standards 
Cleanliness, H & S, Regulatory Compliance and working environment

Ethics:
Preserve and promote company ethics and green initiatives.  Where possible, work with charities, get yourself and the team involved in campaigns and promote the Lush brand.

Systems:
Be competent in all systems associated within the department. Have a good knowledge of the QAD system to be able to report or find out any information you need about the business. Raising orders to “sell out” production to manufacturing is a key task to undertake here. Attention to detail is a must.
