We’re leading the digital strategy and development for Lush globally, across many digital properties ranging from apps to websites. We’re a fast-paced, dynamic team that are comfortable with rapid change and are happy talking about and demonstrating our work to the wider business and stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
On a day to day basis, you'll be working closely with the rest of the digital team to manage brand engagement and user experience initiatives. Developing and evolving our in-house e-commerce and content management platform.
- Writing clean, secure and commented code to an exceptionally high standard.
- Refactoring, reviewing and maintaining existing enterprise application code bases to ensure scalability, performance and security are taken into consideration.
- Actively researching and implementing innovative web techniques and features to enhance the development process.
- Developing and deploying new features to facilitate related procedures and tools.
- Liaising with other departments within the business to gain and review internal and external feedback on the website and digital development projects.
Who you are:
- At least 2 years experience with PHP development.
- A core understanding of web technologies - HTML, JS, CSS is essential.
- A working knowledge of MySQL and relational databases in general is essential.
- Working knowledge of version control systems, preferably git, is essential.
- Experienced in Symfony and Python
- Experience with any other frameworks (Laravel, Silex, Zend) would be great
- Any additional full stack skills - SASS, task runners (grunt/gulp), JS frameworks (angular, vue, react) would be nice but not essential.
- Knowledge of development environments like Vagrant and Docker would also be helpful.
