The Science Technician (Chemistry) plays a pivotal role within the department and is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate.
Assisting the Senior Technician, you will support staff and students in the Laboratories and assist in the preparation of chemicals for demonstrations and practical activities.
You will also ensure the maintenance of a healthy & safe working environment through actively contributing to the assessment, monitoring and review of both health & safety procedures and information resources.
This post offers the successful applicant the opportunity to support the work of a large Science department of the college by working alongside a further two science technicians who are based in dedicated prep rooms.
The successful applicant will be educated to HND level or higher in a Chemistry or Science related subject. Experience of working in a commercial laboratory would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
