Overview
Lush Global Digital Limited is in its fifth year having been set up in July 2017 as part of the Lush Group. It is split into 4 key business areas including; Commerce, Core and Business Tools, Lush Pay, and Subscriptions and Wholesales. The company is dedicated to supplying Lush entities with uniquely designed and built Technology customised to supporting the Lush business globally. As well as this providing the network infrastructure to support the growing business and making a conscious effort to ensure the use of ethical technology throughout Lush.

The Role
As part of a finance team of 3, this role will need to build strong relationships with the key business areas in Lush Global Digital Limited, playing a crucial part in assisting the production of the monthly management accounts, and providing timely reporting, insight and analysis. You will benefit from having an organised and structured approach to managing day to day tasks. Along with this, communicating to both internal and external stakeholders and providing 5* customer service.
The role would suit someone studying towards finance qualifications who has energy and commitment and enjoys being part of a newly established business.
You must not be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. Lush Digital is an ever changing landscape as we expect you to do the same! 

Responsibilities
  • Efficient processing of multi currency invoices/credit notes
  • Weekly AP Reporting to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Preparation of monthly intercompany payments
  • Maintaining a paperless office approach 
  • Sales ledger credit control
  • Weekly Cash forecasting and loan management
  • Bank reconciliation (GBP and FX) 
  • Employee Credit Card management and monthly reconciliation
  • Ownership of the monthly intercompany process (Sales ledger and intercompany reconciliations)
  • Responsibility for balance sheet controls and reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of the company's management accounts (including stock ledgers, expenses/advances, prepayments)
  • Sales reconciliations for our Subscription boxes
  • Business Tools reporting and monthly journal allocations
  • Monthly cost schedule reviews
  • Supporting the Management Accountant in the delivered quality and accurate production of monthly management accounts
  • Updating and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register including calculating and posting the monthly depreciation charge and reconciling to the Nominal ledger
  • Support Annual audit when required
  • ONS reporting
  • Preparing VAT returns for multiple countries
  • Ad hoc reporting as required - including detailed reporting for Group tax team
  • Support and training for non finance team members on paperless systems used for invoice and expenses process - including Zahara and Rydoo.

Required Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills

  • Culturally, someone who is interested in Lush and our ethics, especially in relation to building sustainable and ethical supply chains would be most desired 
  • Super sharp and switched on - flexible, friendly, and up for any challenge. 
  • Great communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have a clear understanding of the basic accounting principles (accruals/prepayments)
  • Studying towards finance qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Experience in a  finance role and working in a team (2+ years)
  • Experience using Xero and Rydoo is desirable
  • Quick to understand the LUSH finance infrastructure including processes and systems but not scared to innovate and look for improvements and efficiency
  • Hands-on and enthusiastic
