Salary up to £75,000 per annum
The new Head of International Programmes will take the lead in developing a fresh approach to the V&A’s international work, starting with a full audit and review of the Museum’s recent history in this area, before working with senior managers across the V&A to create an imaginative and ambitious strategy for the next 5-10 years.
With an overall ambition to extend the reach and impact of the V&A’s collections and ideas on the international stage, and in particular the global creative industries community, the post-holder will build on the V&A’s existing reputation for partnership-building, thought leadership, touring exhibitions, training and licensing, to create a compelling narrative for the future V&A international programme.
The role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships across museums, cultural and education organisations, such as Arts Council England, the British Council, Government departments, as well as Embassies, NGOs, and a range of other policy makers, opinion formers and stakeholders, existing and new.
Closing date for receipt of applications is: 15 February 2019
