Flexible Working and extra pay for Bank Holidays

Witney and Carterton, West Oxfordshire

At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

Working within a committed team you will be an integral part of the day to day running of our residential/accommodation service, based across several sites covering Witney and Carterton that provides support for 28 young people aged 16-25. Our services aim to address clients’ needs by increasing independence and supporting them to engage in positive activity, training and employment.

We are looking for individuals who believe in our clients’ ability to change and achieve their goals, while also being able to manage and understand some challenging behaviour. Depending on the position, your responsibilities could involve undertaking appropriate key working or group activities, carrying out housing management duties such as booking in clients and finances, or supervising the security of the building and the safety of its tenants. Other responsibilities include conducting house-keeping and cleaning duties and administrative tasks.

You will have good verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable people and be able to work flexibly to meet clients and service requirements. You will also have a level of experience in dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers; in a service environment (voluntary experience also qualifies).

So, if you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.

We have a variety of rota shifts which include evenings and weekends.

When completing your supporting statement, please address the points of the person specification that relate to the job role that you are applying for.
