Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2

28.5 hours per week, term time plus one week

Scale D 5-6 (£19,312 - £19,698 per annum pro rata)

Actual salary £12,684 to £12,937 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:40 am - 14:50 pm (30 min lunch break)

Boudica Schools Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at St. Clements Hill Primary Academy.  

This Academy, which sits at the heart of a growing community, opened in September 2018 and is situated on the edge of Norwich’s northern ring road. We initially opened with a Reception Class and will reach capacity in 2024. 

As part of the Boudica Schools Trust you will be included in a family of Academies who put the needs of children at the forefront of their education.


We are looking for candidates who;

  • Have experience working with Key Stage 2 aged children and who hold NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • Can form positive relationships with children, families and staff
  • Are able to support the children within the class and during recreational times
  • Have a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children
  • Able to use their initiative to support learning & behaviour
  • Be adaptable to situations and willing to work as part of a team
  • Are willing to undertake training and attend meetings as necessary

Working as a Teaching Assistant is a great opportunity of gaining experience and is becoming a preferred method for prospective teachers to successfully secure places in either Teaching Schools or on a PGCE course. The Academy is part of the Norwich Teaching School Alliance and therefore there will be many opportunities for further professional development.
