The Research Projects Officer will facilitate the effective delivery of VARI’s portfolio of research projects, overseeing their day-to-day management, including the co-ordination of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant. Working closely with the VARI management team, research project teams, project partners from the cultural sector and higher education, and colleagues across the V&A (including the V&A in South Kensington, V&A East, V&A Museum of Childhood, and V&A Wedgwood Collection) the Research Projects Officer will be instrumental to ensuring the successful delivery and communication of project outputs, to the design and co-ordination of events and associated project programming, as well as their short-term and long-term impacts.
Working closely with the Research Grants Manager, the Director of VARI, NAL and Archives and in collaboration with the extended VARI team, the Officer will also monitor and manage research grant budgets, manage pre- and post- award research grant administration and operations, support project monitoring, reporting and reforecasting, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
This is a busy and varied coordination role which offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge research department in a major national museum.
