The Early Years Nursery based at Milton Keynes College are looking for a Nursery Nurse to join the fun and energetic Early Years team.

Milton Keynes College opened its Training Nursery in July 2007. The nursery has been developed as a centre of best practice that meets the requirements of the curriculum for the under 5’s and the training needs of our Early Years Students.

As a nursery nurse you should have bundles of enthusiasm, creativity and be committed to providing the best possible care for children in the nursery.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the friendly and welcoming team in the Early Years Nursery. This is an ideal position for an enthusiastic nursery nurse with an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

As a nursery nurse within the Early Years setting, you will help to create a stimulating and attractive environment that encourages the children’s all round development and where the highest standards of care are provided. Your excitement and passion to work as a nursery nurse within a vibrant childcare setting will contribute to providing a fun atmosphere where children are learning through play.

Location: Milton Keynes College - Early Years Nursery

Hours: 37 Hours per week, term time only
Salary: £14,873 - £16,604 pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience

As the successful candidate, you will have

  • A good basic general education including GCSE (or) equivalent in Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Must hold a level 2 or 3 in childcare
  • Experience working within a Nursery, ideally as a Childcare Practitioner
  • A committed team player
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage through your studies
  • A desire to work with young children to develop their skills
  • Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
  • Able to develop positive relationships with colleagues, parents, children and outside agencies

The College offers a broad range of qualifications with more than 3,000 16 – 18-year-old full-time students studying vocational courses, apprenticeships and Higher Education at our campuses in Milton Keynes.
