You will play a critical part in the Operations team, promoting excellence in all Apollo business processes, products and services and the use of quality tools to establish compliance to the Quality Management System and Supply Chain.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Management representative reporting to senior management for Quality related issues that could potentially impact customer performance or compliance to the relevant standards within the QMS
  • Maintain all work instructions and end user assessments for processes, ensuring that the agreed practice is reflected accurately in the Quality Management System.
  • Directly accountable for end-to-end business processes
  • The Quality / Environmental business process owner for Apollo and have the ability to chair & drive meeting outputs at the senior level of the organisation

You will need to be curious, and have a positive approach, with passion for the role encouraging the people around you to succeed.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be a team player in the Quality group & wider business to enable continuous improvement.
  • Experience in leadership and management of a team
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential employee information in a secure manner in compliance with the Data Protection Act
  • Strong technical skills with preferably background in manufacturing (electronic & / or mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the following standards: ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 80079/34 (Explosive Atmosphere standard)
  • Experience of internal / external auditing skills (qualified / certified in audit management)
  • To be visible and influential across the business with proactive thinking (demonstrates continuous improvement behaviours)
  • Demonstrable experience of skills in customer relations and stakeholder management
  • Experienced in self-management
  • To be an excellent communicator with evidence of past experience of problem solving and delivering results.
