An exciting career opportunity has arisen for 2 fulltime CWP practioners to join our Children Wellbeing Psychological (CWP) Team. This team forms part of Barnet’s Integrated Clinical Services (BICS) a Children, Young People mild to moderate mental health service in the borough.

Our CWP provision provides evidence based, short-term interventions for mild mental health presentations (anxiety, low mood and/or behavioral difficulties).   Additionally, CWPs run workshops, raise awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing to parent/carers, young people and professionals to promote positive mental health.  The service functions across the London Borough of Barnet and is community based.

You will also play a key role in supporting the Clinical Manager ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the service. This role is funded by the Department of Health & Social Care.

As part of this role, there will be a requirement to travel between education/GP settings and to/from the office where the team base is located.

The successful candidate will be able to establish good communication and rapport with children and young people and demonstrate a graduate level knowledge of research and research methodology. You will also have a broad general and/or clinical knowledge base of Child Development and Mental Health

You should be able to work as a team member and to engage effectively with clients and staff across a range of contexts and be able to plan and organise in the face of complex and competing demands. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from different backgrounds, cultures and of different ages.

The post holder will have a positive and proactive approach to their own continuing professional development and have the capacity for reflective practice.
