Site SHEQ Supervisor Winfrith, Dorset 24 month FTC
The Company: James Fisher Nuclear (JFN) part of the James Fisher Group is an established supplier of specialist engineering, manufacturing and technical services for applications within challenging, high integrity, environments.
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Safety Advisor, the main role is to support the onsite safety team and ensure all relevant standards and safety protocols are being adhered to by both the JFN site team and supply chain and firm implementation of CDM rules and regulations.
Second to this the successful candidate will also work closely with the site quality manager, giving onsite support where needed to aid in the completion of quality documentation and site reporting.
- Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensuring JFN’s strict Health and Safety standards are met Reviewing of Method Statements and Risk Assessments & commenting where necessary Reviewing and ensuring work areas are safe and all documentation is in place ahead of work commencing Carrying out site safety walks and recording findings Assist the Health & Safety Manager to implement and develop policies and procedures Undertake accident and incident investigations Train staff as required Provide professional Health & Safety advice to colleagues and others on site Maintain accurate records, documents and databases Work closely with JFN Area Construction Management and attend team meetings. Liaise and carry out safety walks with the client and their safety advisors Ensure all works are being carried out within CDM regulations.
Skills & Knowledge: Previous safety advisor experience mandatory. Candidate must have a working knowledge of industry safe working practices and be able to demonstrate understanding.
- Qualifications/Requirements:
NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent Experience in a EHS advisor role IOSH Managing Safely Basic experience working under ISO9001 Full UK driving license Be able to pass a basic DBS check for site security.
This role is to be based in Winfrith, Dorset so would suit someone from the area or someone who is able to commute.
