INDEPENDENT RESIDENT MEMBERS OF THE OPERATIONS COMMITTEE Please note - Only current residents of Hightown Housing Association can apply (non residents please do not apply) At Hightown, we are very proud of the quality of our homes and the services we provide, but we know that we can always do better. This is an exciting time for Hightown as we welcome a new Chief Executive and implement a new corporate strategy. We are currently recruiting three independent resident members to join our Operations Committee. These members will help ensure that residents have a direct influence on the decisions made by our Board. You are expected to attend around 10 meetings a year at our head office in Hemel Hempstead and be willing to set aside time to read and understand the reports that will be discussed in each meeting. To encourage a range of different views, we are recruiting: - One tenant from our general needs housing
- One resident from one of our care & supported housing schemes
- One shared owner.
You do not need any specific professional or technical experience to be a successful committee member. However, it is important that you can read and understand written reports and be confident in asking questions and sharing your opinions in the meetings. What matters most to us is your enthusiasm and commitment to helping us improve our responsibility to our residents and making sure that their collective voice is heard in a way that positively influences our decision-making. In addition to being paid for your time, you will also gain valuable skills and experience while making a real difference to Hightown's residents.
