The People & Change Department, led by the Director of People and Change, is integral to supporting and enabling the V&A’s ambitious strategy. This incorporates outreach to engage new audiences and supporting expansion of the V&A’s digital and physical footprint, including:
· Opening two new visitor venues in East London, 2024 (V&A East)
· Museum of Childhood (Young V&A, Benthal Green) physical refurbishment and transformation
· Extending collections reach, physically e.g. V&A Wedgewood Collection, Barlastion, Stoke-on-Trent and digitally

The Talent and Skills (T&S) team sits within the People & Change Department. In support of the V&A’s goals, the T&S team is developing and refreshing its strategic learning and development programmes.
The Talent and Skills Advisor, reports into the Talent and Skills Manager. The main purpose of the job will be to:
1. Use the whole learning cycle to own, develop and embed learning pathways for V&A employees, to include:
· First time-line manager development
· Leadership readiness
· Assistant Curator Training Scheme
· Training and talent pathways for existing and new V&A venues
· Coaching and mentoring
2. Partnering with stakeholders to deliver relevant and timely development (L&D) solutions, supporting delivery of V&A strategy and goals.
3. Support development of T&S team members as best practice L&D specialists:
· T&S Co-Ordinator, T&S Advisor (Early Careers) and T&S Learning and Engagement Assistant
This role can either be offered as a full time or part time contract. If you would like a part time contract, then the salary on offer will be pro rated for the number of hours you work.
