The Creative Artworker will support the two Graphic designers in the studio and be responsible for delivering highly creative and effective graphic design for marketing, exhibitions, print and displays. One of the key responsibilities is to ensure that all work meets the V&A visual identity guidelines and is delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
The ideal person will be someone who can balance a range of projects and move happily from typesetting object labels for a major exhibition, to creating the seasonal What’s On booklet or rolling a design concept out across an advertising campaign; to creating museum collateral within brand guidelines and packaging artwork to liaising with printers or applying vinyl lettering to ensure an exhibition opens on time and looks fantastic.
In addition to individual projects, we’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to the ongoing development of the studio and print unit by ensuring artwork files and records are comprehensive and ensure we maintain technical skills across the team by staying up to speed with new software, materials, techniques and production processes.
We are a small, collaborative and hands-on team that are continually striving to produce the best design work for the museum. With projects large and small, it’s a fast-paced studio, often with short lead times and the need for quick and efficient turn-around whilst ensuring the highest quality.
