We have a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and tactical individual to join our team to deliver an award-winning manufacturing facility capable of exceeding customer and stakeholder expectations.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Create a clear strategy to deliver award winning Manufacturing processes and practices.
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that product is delivered on time, on cost and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide clear direction and vision, inspire and motivate staff to be engaged in the process of achieving operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage production schedules and required resources and budgets to directly support the supply of finished product, ensuring they are delivered to the agreed cost, quality and delivery date.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement activities to improve overall Labour Cost of Sales (LCOS).
  • Ensure all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Create and drive SMART KPI’s in line with business strategy.
  • Identify capital expenditure requirements to improve business processes and meet overall customer demand.
  • To incorporate Lean fundamentals into every day working practices of Apollo.

 To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in both high volume and high mix manufacturing sites - successfully managing a large manufacturing workforce
  • Training and real world knowledge of best practice lean methodologies – experience of implementing a “Lean Journey”
  • Ability to define and implement a manufacturing vision and strategy to support the Operations objectives
  • A data driven mindset – ability to clearly define priorities and drive for improvements. Focusses on and delivers on KPI targets
  • Experience in promoting employee engagement through company initiatives and personal style
  • Proactive, with a contagious sense of urgency
