James Fisher Renewables provides comprehensive and trusted offshore wind farm solutions dedicated to the technical and operational aspects of construction preparation, installation, and specialist operation & maintenance.

The Head of Finance – Taiwan is part of the APAC James Fisher Renewables Management team and is responsible for managing the financial health of the organisation to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices. Your day-to-day duties will typically include financial planning and reviewing financial documents to ensure tax compliance and collaboration with other departments to achieve monetary goals.

Key Accountabilities

·       Provide strategic finance plan for APAC region to attain the group's long-term goals and maximize shareholder value over time
·       Optimize financial cost to improve business efficiency in Supply Chain
·       Assist strategical proposals in commercial terms negotiation including tax planning
·       Oversee and review the work of Finance team – AP, AR and Management Accounts
·       Preparation relevant sections of the budgets/forecasts, including Cognos upload
·       Ensure submission of trial balance to the business(es) within group deadlines, explaining reasons for any significant variances to budget/forecast
·       Ensure accurate update of the fixed asset registers
·       Prepare journal entries
·       Review submission of statutory accounts
·       Assist reviewing payroll based on strong tax knowledge
·       Liaise with outsource local accounting firm for local compliance work – VAT returns, tax returns, and WHT submission required by the local authorities
·       Forecast and budgeting
·       Assist reviewing payroll based on strong tax knowledge
·       Manage cash flow
·       Manage year end audit(s)
·       Responsible for ensuring robust financial controls are in place and are adhered to group standards
·       Supporting the operations and project team ensuring any threats to the company income are minimised
·       Supporting the Country Manager / APAC VP / Group Finance Team with other requests as required

Qualifications and Experience 

·       Minimum degree or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as Accounting & Finance
·       Qualified accountant with substantial post qualification relevant experience
·       Experience of working in a CPA firm, especially tax involved
·       Solid knowledge of local and International Accounting Standards
·       Intermediate IT skills including exposure to ERP systems
