Educational Resource Manager/Communications Officer

  • Maternity Cover Required for September 2021
  • GR9036 – Scale E – 22.5  hours  per week  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
  • (Term time plus 2 weeks)


This is an important post in a thriving and successful Sixth Form College. We are looking for a person who can confidently manage and develop our educational resources providing expert help and support to staff and students. The person appointed will also be responsible for the promotion of the college to the wider community in the capacity of Communications Officer.

The person appointed will:

  • Be responsible for providing an effective and efficient library, information and resource service that is up-to-date and fully meets the requirements of post-16 teachers and learners.
  • Take an active role in working alongside departments and the tutor team in planning and delivering research and study skills.
  • Actively promote and encourage the effective and responsible use of a wide variety of educational resources
  • Oversee and maintain all aspects of publicity and communication within the college including web-sites, e-mails, use of social media sites, written and on-line prospectuses, parent and student guides and college newsletters.
  • Ensure that these functions support the management and teachers of the school in an efficient and effective manner.  


Our last Ofsted report graded Northgate High School and Dereham Sixth Form College a ‘Good’ school in all areas.
