The V&A Museum of Childhood (MoC) is a branch of the Victoria & Albert Museum - the world’s greatest museum of art, design and performance - and is located in Bethnal Green, east London. The MoC is the UK’s National Museum of Childhood and the largest institution of its kind in the world. Its mission is to hold in trust the nation’s childhood collections and to be an international leader in engaging audiences in the material culture and experiences of childhood.

The Museum is currently planning an exciting major capital development project to transform the permanent galleries and provide a new exhibitions’ space, creating new immersive experiences and setting new standards for engagement and presentation which the appointed Exhibitions Assistant will have the opportunity to feed into.

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and organised Exhibitions Assistant to join our team. You will work across an exciting and diverse range of exhibitions and displays meeting the needs of and growing an intergenerational family audience. The role includes acting as a courier taking touring exhibitions across the country and beyond, so a willingness to travel is essential.

You will need experience of project working with collections and multi-tasking with close attention to detail. You will also have strong communication and problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to working.

Interviews to be held on 12, 17 or 18 July 2017 TBC
