Milton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity to be creative and inspire the next generation of technology experts looking to start their journey!

South Central Institute of Technology is an exciting new institution specialising in delivering digital learning to fulfil the digital skills shortage. Working alongside global partners including Microsoft and KPMG, it will grow to provide learning to over 1,000 students by 2025.

As Marketing & Communications Manager you will be at the forefront of driving awareness of the IoT amongst our core audiences. You will help to establish and develop the brand, develop market research to inform your campaigns, drive student recruitment campaigns to ensure our ambitious targets are met and ensure that stakeholders are engaged through strong communications.

MK College is one of several core partners delivering the project, so your role will also involve co-ordinating with marketing teams within the consortium to ensure the full power of the group is utilised. 

The successful applicant will be an outstanding communicator and have the ability to demonstrate a variety of innovative marketing strategies.

Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year
Contract: 18 months Fixed Term in the first instance
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

As the successful candidate you will have

  • CIM, IDM or other business, media or marketing qualification
  • Significant experience of managing both marketing and communications campaigns
  • Experience of building a brand and developing content
  • Experience of working in an Education or Digital environment would be desirable
  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to independently manage communications plans
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to write engaging content for multiple audiences

Milton Keynes College is proud to be an open and inclusive general Further Education College welcoming learners of all levels and delivering an exceptional educational experience. The College offers a broad range of qualifications with more than 3,000 16 – 18-year-old full-time students studying vocational courses, apprenticeships and Higher Education at our campuses in Milton Keynes. In addition, the College delivers employability and skills training programmes to 3,000 people in local community learning centres.
