Engagement Coach

Salary: Scale F - £17,968 to £19,838 per annum (£22,183 to £24,491 per annum full time equivalent)

Fixed term until 31st August 2022 (this is due to current funding)

Part Time - Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:00 (35 hours per week)

Term time plus one week (39 weeks)

Start date: September 2021

We are seeking a reliable, proactive and efficient Engagement Coach to join the team at The Hewett Academy in order to provide additional coaching support to our year 9 and 10 students to assist them to succeed in their education. 

The role will require you to help to develop and maintain effective and supportive relationships with the students, and have a calm, clear and consistent approach to working with young people. 

You will also be expected to provide a complementary service throughout the Academy that enhances existing provision in order to support learning and encourage social inclusion.

The role will be split between working in class with the students, offering coaching / mentoring support, engaging with families and taking advantage of opportunities that the student / academy can access that boost their academic success.

Experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential.

You will have excellent organisational skills and confidence in communicating with a range of

different stakeholders, including students and parents.
