One of the world's most significant new museum projects, V&A East, will comprise two sister sites currently under construction in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.

Opening at Here East in 2024, V&A East Storehouse offers a new immersive experience, taking visitors behind the scenes and providing unprecedented public access to V&A collections. A short walk across the park, opening in 2025, V&A East Museum celebrates global creativity and making relevant to today’s world. Both sites are part of East Bank, the Mayor of London's £1.1 billion Olympic legacy project, which will create a new arts, innovation and education hub in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Our founding mission is to make the arts accessible to all.

More than just a museum or collections store, it will be a creative campus and social space embedded within its local community, focusing on equipping young people with the interest, knowledge, and skills they need to flourish creatively.

The Senior Interpretation and Participation Producer will lead on the development and implementation of participatory interpretation at V&A East. They will line manage the Interpretation and Participation Producer and take the lead in devising and delivering co-production projects and interpretation across V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse. With the Engagement and Outreach Lead, they will be responsible for devising consultation and applying learnings to how the V&A East interpretation strategy is delivered and implemented across the V&A East sites.

There will be a strong emphasis on participatory methodologies, developing and commissioning interpretation through collaboration and consultation with the diverse communities of East London to create a locally relevant destination of global cultural importance. The ideal candidate will be able to think critically about museum practice for the future and apply this to a demanding and fast-paced portfolio of projects and responsibilities. A creative flair, passion, diligence, an absolute eye for detail and proactive nature are all essential.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 10 a.m. Monday 10 January 2022
