Are you an exceptional individual with a desire to support young people with emotional and behavioral issues?

The VOC center supports our KS4 pupils to work towards gaining Vocational Qualifications in a variety of practical subjects. The pupils attend the VOC/Hub from our other SSSfN secondary bases across the county as well as pupils from the Locksley site.

These pupils are some times really disengaged with learning and education. We are seeking an individual who can motivate and inspire these young pupil and encourage them to realize their full potential before they move on from us at the end of Y11.

The Short Stay School for Norfolk is an extraordinary and diverse school that caters for young people throughout the county. Across all our bases our pupils are at the centre of everything we do. We believe that every child is capable of great things and that each individual has the right to an excellent education.

Our ideal candidate will:

•    Have experience of pastoral and safeguarding roles preferably in a school environment 
•    Be a committed team player who can support and lead a team
•    Be able to inspire young people and colleagues 
•    Be flexible, collaborative and resilient 
•    Be able to work independently 
•    Ideally have experience of working in a secondary school environment with challenging students 
•    Have excellent ICT and administrative skills
•    Have an excellent attendance record 

As Assistant Base Lead, You will be managing pastoral aspects of our school life including safeguarding, attendance, engagement and behaviour be working alongside teaching professionals and managing a team of Teaching Assistants. This role is pivotal in supporting the smooth running of our School and as such, it would suit someone with extensive experience.  

This role will be based at our Locksley School with scope to work across the Trust sites if needed.
