ASSISTANT PLANNER (PLANNING POLICY)

£22,677 - £28,525 plus attractive financial benefits including a retention bonus

37 hours per week

Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils care passionately about protecting their environment (e.g. AONB, Green Belt, town and villages character) whilst also planning positively to meet local development needs and delivering sustainable development. The councils are undertaking shared working and are looking to recruit an Assistant Planner in the joint Planning Policy team, based in Amersham, to work across the two districts.

We are looking to recruit either a recent graduate anticipating a planning degree or someone with planning experience looking for an assistant planner role. You would join the councils at a professionally exciting and challenging time with the team working on an emerging new Local Plan, key evidence base studies, complex Duty to Co-operate engagement, supporting a number of neighbourhood plans and delivering a range of related projects.
