Apprentice Quantity Surveyor - Starting Salary £5.00 an hour.

Stonbury currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, based in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Stonbury is a market leader in the niche area of civil engineering within the water industry. Our company’s success can be attributed to our extensive knowledge and experience gained from working closely with our clients to deliver a range of cost-effective engineering solutions including the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of water company reservoirs.

Whilst undertaking your Apprenticeship, you will be fully supported by your college tutor as well as gaining excellent support and guidance from your employer. You will receive on the job training and time off to attend college while you work towards your qualification. You must be dedicated and prepared to work hard to complete a portfolio of your work based learning, as well as submitting a number of assignments.

The successful applicant should have a passion for their apprenticeship and be able to work both individually and as part of a team. You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Desirable Skills and Abilities:

• Strong development of Maths and ICT skills
• Good Problem Solving skills
• Academically minded
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• GCSE Grades A*- B are essential
• A full UK driving licence is preferred, however not essential at this stage

Start on a salary of £5 per hour in the first year, rising to £6 in the second year (on successful completion of the first year)

Full training will be given and this will include CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene, Confined Spaces
