The Senior Producer – Design Education is a new role for a dynamic design educator who will build engaging learning experiences, inspired by museum collections, and informed by contemporary design practices. Working closely with YV&A teams and community partners, we aim to develop a programme that empowers children and young people to develop creative skills whilst generating ideas for positive change-making through design.
You will bring practical design education expertise to Young V&A, developing activity that invites inclusive, playful, and engaging participation from our diverse audiences (from early years to 14 years), their families and educators. Your main duty will be to develop a year-round programme of self-led and facilitated design activity for the Open Studio - a hands-on learning space in the museum’s new Design Gallery.
You will contribute to design teaching and learning across the museum, for formal and informal groups. You will also bring practicing designers and other creatives to our learning programme, drawing on your professional networks and knowledge of design in creative learning.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
