Job Title:                 Campus Advice & Guidance Assistant

Contract:                 Permanent, Full Time

Salary:                     £24,379 - £26,543 per annum

Hours:                     37 Hours per week 

Location:                 Cardiff & Vale

 

Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Campus Advice & Guidance Assistant to be primarily based at one of our sites on Dumballs Road, Cardiff but will be expected to cover at other sites as and when required. Our Campus Advice & Guidance Assistants will provide excellent customer services to all stakeholders whilst maintaining a professional, pleasant and welcoming service within the Advice centre / reception area.

As part of the role you will:

  • Maintain a professional, pleasant and welcoming reception service, maintaining a clean and smart reception area at all times
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the College, issuing visitor passes and signposting appropriately
  • Responding effectively and efficiently to all communication channels as and when required.
  • Handle all enquiries in a courteous and helpful way; these may be by telephone, email, livechat or face to face
  • Resolving queries at source where possible or directing visitors and learners to the most appropriate person to answer and resolve their queries
  • Answering enquiries and give information about the full range of College courses on the telephone, via email and to those who call in person
  • Entering applications and updating all EBS record, including contact logs, as required.
  • Meeting and greeting applicants at events and open evenings. To represent and promote the service at a range of college events including Open Days, HE Careers Fairs

Successful candidates will have a sound educational background of at least GCSE Maths and English as well as demonstrate commensurate experience. A Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Information, Advice and Guidance would be advantageous but not essential for the role.

 

Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would love to hear from candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
