Payroll Assistant

Our Finance Team are expanding so we have an exciting opportunity for a talented Payroll Assistant to join us.  It is a fantastic part-time opportunity, 20 hours per week.

Reporting to the Payroll & Pensions Administrator this person will be responsible for processing all employee benefits in a timely manner for Apollo Fire Detectors. 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Record and process accurately pay related records on ADP (The Company's payroll system) ensuring the appropriate paperwork is available and with the correct level of authorisation.
  • Process accurately all payroll deductions and notify the appropriate parties (Pensions, Employee Donations, Bupa, Healthshield, Union Subscriptions etc.)
  • Be fully conversant with all aspects of payroll legislation including: SMP, SPP, ShPP, SSP, PAYE, Pensions and NI. Ensure HR Policies are applied with regards to payroll and adhered to when calculating employee benefits.
  • Deal with pay-related queries in a timely and courteous manner
  • Input monthly P11d amounts for company payrolled benefits onto ADP.
  • Deal with all admin related to the Pension Payroll, e.g. mailouts
  • To maintain and store sensitive and confidential employee information in a secure manner in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Provide cover for Payroll & Pensions Administrator when absent.
  • Support the implementation of the Time & Attendance software and ensure information is accurately transferred to the Payroll System.
  • To carry all duties associated with this job role in compliance with the requirements of GDPR
