iiCON is recruiting for a brand-new Senior Finance Business Partner role created as part of their programme. This is your opportunity to make the role your own!

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide a high level of professional accounting and operational support, in addition to providing financial reporting support. This role will act as a critical link between the iiCON leadership team and Finance, Procurement and Research Services (FPRS), providing oversight of the full iiCON programme finances and supporting the strategic plan to drive growth. The post will sit within LSTMs Finance, Procurement and Research Services (FPRS) department but will be embedded in the iiCON delivery team.

In this role, you will also partner with iiDiagnostics, established in 2022 as a new product development and contract research company. iiDiagnostics has a significant contract portfolio and partners range from academic institutions to major health sector companies. The company has 3 primary areas of focus Entomological Testing, Molecular Diagnostics, Sensor Diagnostics.

You will work closely with diverse teams of researchers, academics, professional services staff, and funders based globally.

Key Responsibilities are (but not limited to):

  • Be a trusted advisor to the iiCON Director and Programme Team providing guidance and recommendations to support the anticipated rapid growth of the company
  • Contribute to commercial decision making, using data insight to provide commercial support and challenge to the business on key drivers
  • Assist the iiCON Director with contract and financial management of the programme portfolio.
  • Ownership and production of management information reporting for iiCON and iiDiagnostics including month end Management Accounts, Finance and Investment Committee and Board of Trustees  reporting packs.
  • Initiate the development of all reporting, adapting to changing business needs and ensure training is provided for all users
  • Be resourceful, innovative, and tactful in resolving issues, exercising judgement, and presenting information.
  • Develop and maintain best practice procedures for financial reporting and control processes
  • iiCON is a dynamic and expanding programme. The post holder needs to be adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of this major programme and to interface in a flexible and collaborative basis with partners and other stakeholders.

 

To apply to this role, you will need to have

  • Membership of a Finance professional body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering and promoting collaborative working across multiple Teams
  • Able to deliver a high level of customer service with key stakeholders fostering a culture of collaboration, partnership, and mutual support
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to share financial information to non-financial managers at all levels
  • Experience of producing and presenting Management Information relevant to various business stakeholders 
  • Experience of report and KPI development and continuous improvement
  • Experience of managing and monitoring significant budgets
