Project Worker – South Camden Mental Health Accommodation Services

£24,135 - £27,648 per annum
37.5 hours per week
South Camden Mental Health team provides an accommodation based support service to clients with mental health support needs. We provide housing and support for our clients who have a combination of enduring mental health needs and other support needs. We provide therapeutic environments that consider the client's needs beyond medication and housing. In line with St Mungo’s recovery approach, the service places the client’s aspirations at the heart of its work.
The support service has a combination of 24/7 accommodation projects, projects with offices staffed 24 hours a day, and step down accommodation without offices on site.
We're looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated project worker to join the service. As the post-holder, you will be working in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of support staff, specialist staff and external partners and will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the hostel, whilst holding a case load of clients from the hostel. Flexibility is required, as you’ll be working a shift rota that includes weekends and public holidays.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar environment and an understanding of the needs of homeless people, especially those with complex needs. Enthusiasm, a team player and a can do and a non - judgemental approach are essential for the successful post holder. In order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients, you should also possess good interpersonal and listening skills. Good numeracy, I.T and written communication skills; which will include report writing and producing support plans are also required.
