We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join us.  Supporting and working closely with the Executive Assistant and the Directorate Team.  Reporting directly to the Executive Assistant, you will provide confidential professional administration support to that role, whilst also assisting with supporting the Directorate team as a whole.  

The Role:

  • Working alongside the Executive Assistant and the Senior PA to provide support to the Directors & Senior Management Team, dealing with complex administrative tasks on a range of zoo projects and governance.
  • Provide support to the Executive Assistant & Senior PA by maintaining accurate data records, in both paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Facilitation of both in person and virtual meetings, including co-ordination of agendas, meeting papers, and taking accurate minutes.
  • UK and overseas travel arrangements.
  • Assist with processing of Purchase Orders and liaising with the Finance team to resolve account queries.
  • Assist with the day to day running of the Admin Support office and to be a point of contact for queries from internal and external parties.
  • Assist with organising diaries and events.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant administrative qualification at NVQ level 2 or higher or equivalent qualifications
  • Relevant ICT qualification (ECDL is desirable).
  • Significant experience of working in an administrative role in a diverse organisation.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills to engage and communicate with Directors, senior management and a wide range of other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Experience of meeting coordination and providing timely and accurate minutes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrated by an ability to liaise confidently and effectively with managers, both orally and through written communication.
  • Numeracy and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Ability to respond to enquiries tactfully and professionally.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.
