The Hewett Academy is seeking an inspiring, innovative, and dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies or History to join our team; a teacher who shares our belief that all pupils have the right to succeed and have access to the very best education.
We have a very clear curriculum vision built on four pillars - we teach a robust, academic knowledge rich curriculum, give our students access to a wide variety of cultural opportunities, focus on literacy for life and use all of this to promote creativity in our subjects. If you support this vision, we’d love to hear from you.
Hewett Academy is one of the most iconic schools in Norwich. We were graded as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted in our last inspection. Since then we have built strong relationships with our community and pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive school in which children from all backgrounds walk alongside the most diverse student population in Norwich. Our students demonstrate respect for each other and their teachers through calm and purposeful attitude around school and in lessons. We aspire to bridge the disadvantage gap for which the four pieces our students exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts last year are a testament. This is achieved through our dedication to our community and the ambitious and broad knowledge-rich curriculum we provide. Once you are part of Hewett, you always will be - come and join the family.
