Remote, UK - with travel to Poole at least 4 times a month

We’re looking for an EBT champion. Someone who understands how proud we are of our EBT, its importance to us as a business and the relationship we have with our colleagues.

You’ll spend your days learning about the wider business, Employee Ownership and promoting engagement with the EBT throughout the business. You will help to ensure the effective management of the EBT, support exciting engagement projects including EBT elections and work to facilitate two-way direct communication between Lush Colleagues and the business, helping amplify employee voice.

The Role

Supporting the Trustee Boards & Elected Reps:

  • Supporting quarterly Trustee meetings (let’s make them interesting!), preparing information, presentations and minutes
  • Ensuring our Trustees have up to date information at all times
  • Presenting information to our Trustees for decision or opinion
  • Arranging travel and expenses
  • Documenting actions, decisions and keeping records of decisions made
  • Management of the re-appointment of Trustees and Rep elections when needed
  • Ensuring the Trustees and Representatives understand the parameters of their role
  • Preparing updates, reports and presentations for the Trustees and wider business on the EBT
  • Creating and delivering engaging development plans for elected Reps at all levels
  • Managing central records of Representatives across the group
  • Supporting EBT Representatives with engagement initiatives for their markets and areas of the business

Spreading the word:

  • Producing engaging content to share with all employees through multiple channels to keep the momentum and re-education of the EBT going 
  • Supporting Group markets with integrating the EBT into local operations and culture
  • Supporting distribution of communication through the EBT network (reaching the furthest corners of the Lush world)
  • Seeking feedback about the EBT and using it to help shape the future
  • Coordinate EBT content for Lush events and organise meetings for EBT Reps
  • Promoting the Employee Voice and the EBT as a channel for being heard!
  • Motivating and engaging our EBT Reps to be the best they can be!

Managing the Employee Voice:

  • Managing emails from colleagues, sharing ideas and seeking responses from relevant business areas
  • Managing central log of questions/queries raised by staff and answers for all of our Group Markets
  • Maintaining files of EBT communication, trackers, translations and the EBT Rep Directory etc

Skills and experience:

  • Highly organised
  • Strong administrator
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Adaptable and dependable
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player that can work independently and manage their own time effectively

Our Employee Benefit Trusts
In 2017, Lush Cosmetics Limited and Cosmetic Warriors issued 10% of the total company shares into a Trust where they are held for the benefit of the staff.

We have 5 Trustees elected by the company and the staff on each company Trustee board. Between them, they look after the EBTs on behalf of the staff and we have a network of 420 elected Representatives across our 22 Group markets on all shop floors, factory floors and support buildings, across the Lush Group who represent the employee voice, promoting the EBT and supporting communication and engagement across the Group.

The EBTs are quickly becoming a very important part of our business and we need someone to join the EBT team to help continue this work in embedding the EBT into our culture and the way we work while managing all day-to-day aspects of the CW and Lush EBT.
