We are seeking a highly skilled and competent administrator to support the Schools team within the Learning department at a very exciting time of development and growth for the team. The Schools Liaison Administrator’s duties are essential to the successful delivery of the Schools Programme, which reaches almost 90,000 people each year.

This post carries out daily administration tasks, including liaising with freelance facilitators and event assistants, ordering and prepping materials for sessions, tracking and reporting visitor figures, greeting schools every morning on arrival and ensuring a consistent and professional service. This post is a vital conduit between the Contact Centre, the Visitor Experience team, and the Schools team, responsible for circulating vital information about weekly bookings. This post is the first port-of-call for teacher enquiries about the programme, will also step in to deliver talks and sessions when needed, and frequently supports the delivery of evening training events for teachers and large-scale Schools events, such as Creative Quarter.

You will have experience of providing administrative support within a busy museum and/or gallery environment, meeting tight deadlines and keeping accurate records. You will be highly numerate and literate, skilled at using digital databases and information management systems. You will have an interest in museum and/or gallery learning and be courteous and welcoming to students and teachers. You will be a confident communicator who works well with others and within a team.
