We are seeking a self motivated, hard working individual who is looking for a career within Human Resources. You will learn all the basics of Human Resource and you’ll have plenty of on-the-job training.

INFORMATION

  • Position: HR Assistant
  • Location: Lewisham, South East London
  • Pay: £20,000 - £23,000 per annum depending on skills & experience
  • Hours: 08:30 – 17:00
  • Shifts: Monday – Friday

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Able to work towards tight deadlines
  • Good IT skills in outlook, word and excel
  • Good timekeeping & attendance

Accountabilities:

On boarding:

  • To manage of the on boarding of new staff; this will involved;
    • Conduct Screening to BS7858 standards - employment and personal reference verification
    • Right to Work Checks
    • DBS Checks
    • SIA Licence Checks
    • Issuing Contracts of Employment
    • organising the inductions of all new starters
    • Enter new starters onto the Timegate management system
    • Processing security ID cards
    • Processing all new starter on boarding paperwork to the payroll team
  • Liaising closely with the operational management team; providing regular progress update reports
  • Contributing to the HR monthly report

Human Resources Administration:

  • Type minutes of meetings when required such as investigation, disciplinary & grievances
  • Update the on line recruitment system (Vacancy Filler) and Timegate system
  • Process leavers and archive leaver files
  • Deal with references and employee requests
  • Any other ad hoc duties

Quality and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • CIS staff should be aware of the importance of limiting and reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy and other raw materials.
  • All members of staff should reduce the amount of waste produced and use the recycling facilities available in the workplace for the disposal of all recyclable waste.
  • You are responsible for raising any concerns or improvement suggestions in relation to the quality of our services and our impact on the environment.
