The role:

  • Shadowing Product Owners for both Development Teams as part of an induction to help build an understanding of the Product, current/upcoming workflow and processes;
  • Taking part in user story creation for future tasks
  • Identifying early iterations for Roadmap items on the product Roadmap
  • Contribute to planning meetings and help steer decisions on which items will be worked on
  • Understand acceptance criteria for tasks and reach a point where they would be happy with supporting and eventually moving an item to ‘done’
  • Use the data from team retrospective meetings to make recommendations on improving things like work environment and team velocity
  • Shadowing Product Owners on documentation tasks
  • Learning how to create, review and publish product documents  such as release notes, product updates, help centre content , API documentation etc.
  • Reviewing the tools we use currently and presenting a business case for new ones
  • Attending all planning/review sessions to identify which tasks are likely to require documentation
  • Owning the documentation backlog
  • Standard Product responsibilities i.e. Permission requests, FAQs etc.

You will:

  • Have a passion for tech and want to learn more – this includes the basics not just at the cutting edge.
  • Have a natural curiosity of how technical things work. 
  • Be a keen learner inside and outside of work.
  • Not be afraid to think outside the box and challenge existing processes.
