Account Manager

Our Account Managers deliver exceptional client service to retail and branded clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate proactive, effective project management skills and developing strong relationships with key clients and with immediate design and graphics teams.

You would be the main day to day contact for an account, ensure all projects are run efficiently and effectively, utilising the company’s main systems and processes. You will also be working closely with internal teams to ensure client objectives are met. In addition you will ensure that projects are run in a commercially sound manner.

Key area of responsibility:

Delivering Results

  • Understand the full process from design through to print (end to end) and how that operates across each client.
  • Commercially manage projects from initial client brief (where applicable), through to final file release.
  • Ability to plan and fully own your projects and ensure they are running to the correct timelines at all times.
  • Ability to brief work into the design or graphics arena, ensuring the brief is clear and the required parties fully understand the end requirement.
  • Understand client needs and key clients’ brands – Anticipate client responses.
  • Drive category / design reviews (where applicable) to highlight packaging opportunities.
  • Reviewing designs and key first artwork files to ensure they meet your brief.
  • Utilising the company’s systems, invoicing, raising purchase orders, quotes and estimates.

Customer focus

  • Operating with both external and internal clients, display a client driven approach at all times.
  • Demonstrate client and industry knowledge and educate stakeholders whenever necessary.
  • Develop effective relationships with clients through clear and effective communication.
  • Ensure that the account relationship is maintained and improved.
  • Ensure that clients receive the right information and service for their needs.
  • Effectively ‘farm’ your client contacts to generate extra income through proactive development of opportunities.

Problem solving and improvement

  • Analyse information and identify tools, resources and processes to solve process or client problems.
  • Working with the Senior AM’s and the Client Account Manager, always look for forward thinking solutions to business or client challenges.
  • Escalate problems and prepare potential solutions for further discussions

Working with others

  • Attend client and internal meetings and represent the business in a credible and professional manner.
  • Listen and relate to others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Actively participate in all client service meetings
  • Attend Design Team meetings (where applicable) and production meetings and ensure work is booked in to match client KPI’s. Negotiate timings where required.
  • Work co-operatively, actively building cohesive relationships.
  • Actively seek feedback from others and demonstrate improved working relationships as a result.

Skills and Experience required:
