NIGHT SECURITY GUARD

Permanent – 42 hours per week

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Night Security Guard to join our Security team.

The Role:

As a Night Security Guard you will be responsible for the security of the zoo grounds, ensuring it is safe and secure outside of normal working hours.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence
  • Ideally hold a CCTV surveillance licence, or be willing to work towards this
  • Hold a full driving licence valid in the UK
  • Have experience of security within a complex environment with specific experience of night security
  • Have a good understanding of best practice within the security industry
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Be computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes

A current First Aid at Work Certificate, and experience of providing first aid, would also be advantageous.

The salary is £19,304.17 per annum for a 42 hour week. Hours will be worked 4 nights on, 4 nights off on a rota basis. Candidates are expected to have a flexible attitude to enable cover within the department as an additional week day, Bank Holiday, front of hours cover of occasional day work may be required.
