Do you have experience of supporting and developing young people and wish to develop your skills in safeguarding and youth engagement?

We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our Student Services department as a Student Experience and Wellbeing Coordinator, based at our Windsor College site.

We are a leading education provider in the south-east, which was formed through a partnership between East Berkshire College and Strode’s College in Egham. Delivering high quality education and training to over 8,000 students and businesses each year, we offer state-of-the-art learning environments at our three main campuses: Langley College, Strode's College and Windsor College.

Our mission is to inspire ambition and make a positive difference to lives through learning. We are keen to recruit talented individuals who are passionate about helping us to deliver the highest standards of education and training to local people, communities and businesses. In return, we offer a supportive and inclusive working environment, where everyone’s skills and ideas are valued and respected.

As a Student Experience and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will have operational responsibility for the development and provision of high-quality student experience activity, including supporting the planning and delivery of a range of activities to support effective cross-college learner voice activity.

You will also act as the deputy designated safeguarding lead for Windsor College, providing support to the safeguarding team and overseeing complex cases.

Providing front line wellbeing support for students, you will work with the personal tutors to help students remove barriers to their learning and provide early intervention when wellbeing issues arise.

You will be part of a friendly and welcoming Student Services team, responding to, and triaging general enquiries as needed.

Ideally, you will have safeguarding and youth work experience. You must be resilient, able to work under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines.

This is an exciting fast paced role requiring excellent communication and advocacy skills, and an ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including senior staff, lecturers, parents and local authority social work teams.

Our staff benefit from:

  • Excellent work/life balance
  • Excellent career progression opportunities for ambitious staff
  • Subsidised professional qualifications
  • Access to excellent defined benefit pension schemes
  • Free on-site parking
  • Cycle to Work Scheme and Season Ticket Loans
  • Family friendly policies to support Work Life Balance
  • NUS cards offering a wide range of discounts
  • Various health & wellbeing benefits including discounted gym memberships, confidential staff counselling and discounted hair and beauty treatments at The Salon at our Langley College site.

Please also be advised that the vacancy will close at midday on Monday 12th August 2019.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 20th August 2019.
