Our Team

The Natural Power Ireland team are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, managers, analysts and technicians delivering technical services to our clients across a range of renewable energy technologies in Ireland and internationally.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join our Irish Operations and Asset Management (OAM) team on a permanent basis delivering a range of OAM services for renewable energy projects (primarily wind, solar and energy storage projects) in Ireland. The Irish OAM team is part of a global OAM team enabling access to a broad range of international expertise in execution of their duties. Our OAM personnel are a focused and highly productive team driven to provide service quality and excellence for all of our clients.

It is envisaged that the Site Manager would be located in the mid-west region (Limerick or neighbouring counties) working primarily on projects in that region and also providing support to the broader Irish OAM team. The Site Manager role will entail general local site management and maintenance services.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all sites within their responsibility are managed in accordance with:
    • Site Management Agreements;
    • Safety, Health and Environmental Regulations; and,
    • Company Policies and Procedures
  • Undertake Lead Technician duties for service and maintenance of High Voltage (HV) equipment and for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment
  • Delivery of high quality services to each Client whilst maintaining the Company’s integrity
  • Ensure that costs associated with the delivery of services are monitored and controlled, and profitability is maintained through efficient utilisation of resources and recovery of costs associated with all works taken by Natural Power
  • Report to the departmental management team (Area Manager, Operations Manager and Head of Asset Management as applicable) on performance of sites and participate in department meetings to distribute information and update team members
  • Actively pursue personal development through training, mentoring and keeping an up to date knowledge of the applicable renewable energy technologies.
  • Participation in a standby rota to ensure the provision of 24-hour technical and managerial support to the locations within their geographical responsibility
  • Contribute to positive development of the team at site through active participation and contribution to the development of the Renewable Energy Generation asset

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety: All employees are required to adhere to Health & Safety Regulations and ensure best practice is met by both themselves and by their colleagues
  • Conduct: All employees are required to conduct themselves in a professional manner in accordance with company values, policies and codes of conduct as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Quality: All employees are expected to work within the systems, processes and procedures outlined within the department and / or company handbooks or software platforms or training manuals
  • Flexibility: A reasonable degree of flexibility is required from all employees to meet the needs of the role, the department and the wider company

 

Qualifications and Experience

Essential: 

  • Relevant Engineering/Technical qualification (NFQ Level 6 or equivalent) in an electrical discipline
  • Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of HV/LV electrical distribution plant & systems
  • Maintenance, fault-finding and repair of electro-mechanical systems
  • Use of Maintenance Management Systems and completion of maintenance reports
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage others
  • Computer literate
  • Full driver’s License

 

Desirable:

  • H&S Qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • Senior Authorised Person (SAP) experience
  • Implementation of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) management systems
  • Preparation and maintenance of technical, QMS, EMS and H&S documentation
