Job Description

Maths or English Core Tutors (£1200-£1400 honorarium)

Planning and delivery of 5 subject Days - cover costs funded by SCITT to school

Be available to support during 1 Intervention Core Day

Supporting the upskill of trainees who specialise in Primary with Maths (additional communications/modelling), for suitable candidate

Planning and monitoring of pre and post core day tasks to ensure continued professional learning

Provide trainees with further reading and recommend articles, websites and blogs which will support subject development

Monitoring of trainee progress and QA impact of Core Training via half termly checks on our Portal - updates to be communicated to Deputy Director Lead Mentors

Provide regular email support for trainees with planning

Where required, trainees to carry out focused observations of your teaching to model best practice in areas trainees may require additional support in (or organise for another high quality practitioner to support and lead follow up work/discussion) 

Primary Lead Tutors (Honorarium £1000)

Monitor trainee's subject tasks and planning on the portal (fortnightly checks) and provide Deputy Director with updates

Provide email/telephone support for trainees with planning support and guidance with subject tasks

Where directed visit trainees in school and support trainees with team-teaching or invite trainees to observe your teaching, modelling best practice in areas of need

Be available to support in the planning and delivery of during Core Training

Liaise closely with English and Maths Core Tutors and Primary Lead Mentor to support trainee progress?

Person Specification

QTS and a track record of excellent teaching.

Experience of mentoring of early career teachers.
 
Experience of CPD delivery and an interest in T&L pedagogy

Some knowledge of Iniital Teacher training
