The Research Grants Manager supports the Director of the V&A Research Institute, NAL and Archives, and works with staff throughout the Museum, to oversee the development of new research projects, to manage research funding application processes, and support project delivery and reporting of active research projects. The postholder will consolidate and expand the Museum’s record with a range of research funders, and also work with the Development Department to ensure strategic coordination with the broader fundraising efforts of the V&A. They will have overall responsibility for operational delivery of research projects and of their strategic development and growth. If and where relevant, they will contribute scholarly expertise to shape the V&A’s research project portfolio, developing and leading their own research projects, or contribute to VARI’s existing portfolio, as a research-active member of VARI. They will have a proven track record of securing research funding and will be able to represent the Museum nationally and internationally, in the context of collaborations with academic partners, research funders, policy makers, other cultural organisations, businesses and non-governmental organisations.
Closing date for receipt of applications is 24th January 2022 at 09:00
