We are seeking to recruit confident, energetic and innovative Stock replenishment assistants to join our Front of House teams at the V&A. These teams sit as part of the Audiences division and are responsible for making our visitors feel part of the V&A’s growing family and placing them at the heart of the museum. On a day-to-day basis they work together, playing an important role in how the V&A warmly welcomes all its visitors, ensuring stock and shopfloors are ready for potential customers. The roles we are recruiting for, can be seen in the job descriptions above, however there is a common ground between all of them, with the visitor placed firmly at the heart of all we do. Due to the collaborative nature of the roles, there are shared essential and desirable criteria, below, that should be demonstrated throughout your application. 

Full-Time  

2 x Stock replenishment assistants with full availability across all weekdays, working Full Time (37.5 hours week average)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  1. A proactive, approachable, visitor focused individual; a people person with a background in, or a passion for, delivering outstanding visitor experience in a customer service role.
  1. Physical capacity to deliver work ethic necessary, with H&S risk assessments met for safety both personally and for colleagues.
  1. Must be detail oriented, accurate in handling of stock and product lines.
  1. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to interact positively with people, both staff and visitors alike. 
  1. High level of emotional intelligence. 
  1. Sincerity when dealing with visitors or members of the team and receptive to others’ opinions.
  1. A reliable, punctual, and trustworthy team player who understands the importance of working as part of a large, dynamic team. 
  1. Ability to operate with minimum supervision and able to adapt to new or changing situations. Must have a strong sense of responsibility and initiative in all tasks undertaken.

Core Skills

  1. A strong team player, with the ability to work closely with peers to achieve a common goal. A high level of diplomacy, able to act as an ambassador for the museum in a variety of situations. 
  2. Experience of communicating clearly, with the ability to adapt your communication style for different groups. 
  3. Experience in maintaining displays both by replenishment and with visual on brand guidelines

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

1. Experience of working in a fast paced, customer facing retail role.

2. Experience of working in a stock orientated role, including deliveries, system checks and date deadlines (best before for food lines e.g). 

3. Experience of working in a museum or visitor attraction, with a passion for the role they play in society
