Project Worker (Female*) – North London Women’s Project

£24,135 - £27,648 per annum

37.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a female project worker to join the North London Women’s Project on a permanent, full-time basis. The services works with women who are at risk of Domestic Abuse/Gender based violence and who have support needs which may include substance use, mental health and/or physical health. The hostel provides a client-centred recovery based approach tailored to the needs of the individual women which is gender specific. Staff promote engagement with internal and external services with the purpose of enabling women to be independent and make positive choices in their lives.

The role will involve carrying out needs assessments, key working using a strengths-based approach and support to maintain housing and external services and develop independent living skills. To be successful in this role you should have a good understanding of the needs of homeless people and the particular needs of this project’s client group and be able to work in an empathic and boundaried way with women who may have experienced complex trauma. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills to enable you to effectively advocate on behalf of your clients and will also possess good literacy, numeracy and I.T skills.
