Due to growth opportunities predominately within the decommissioning and renewable sectors, we are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to develop and expand our client base throughout the European marketplace. You will be based at our HQ in Aberdeenshire and will be part of our dynamic global business development team. You will be responsible for lead generation, input into tender submissions, follow up and successful closure of opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

·       The ability to establish a rapport and build relationships within client base
·       Work closely with the team to ‘think-outside’ the box and deliver right first time and fit for purpose solutions
·       Strong communication and presentation skills.
·       IT fluency and proficient in MS Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
·       Research organizations and identify opportunities and the key individuals who hold the decision maker responsibilities
·       Work closely with the proposal teams to deliver submissions of the highest caliber to drive high win rates within region
·       Exceptional organizational and planning skills to maximize client-facing time and deliver the required reporting accurately and on time
·       Results driven with a track history in achieving targets beyond expectation
·       Identify marketing opportunities and work with the marketing team to deliver successful targeted campaigns
·       Be self-motivated and driven with the ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
·       Be a creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
·       Maintain regular communication with clients through the quote process to ensure their requirements are being delivered and their expectations are met
·       Visiting clients and conduct regular face to face and virtual meetings to understand the client’s desirables during a tender process
·       Follow up submitted quotes, record feedback and create action plan to ensure continuous improvement and high win rate
·       Attend industry events

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for experienced sales professionals with previous exposure to oil and gas, decommissioning, renewables, offshore construction, IRM sectors or marine engineering environments. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality and a hunger to chase and close new business.

You must be a keen networker and able to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
