Deputy Care Centre Manager, Full Time, Hayle (Near St Ives, Cornwall)

About the home:
Set amid beautiful gardens in the Cornish seaside destination of Hayle, Pine Trees is a residential care home in the popular Connor Downs area of the town.

The ranch style house has been converted to a dedicated care home for older people with 35 single rooms all on the ground floor, all with en-suite facilities or personal washing facilities.

A major refurbishment programme has modernised the accommodation throughout the house and re-decoration and new furnishings provide cosy and comfortable surroundings. The re-development has benefitted by a 10 bedded extension and has also included installation of modern facilities and the latest equipment to ensure the health and safety of our residents if they have restricted mobility.

We have a regular programme of activities and outings for our residents to take part in as and when they wish. Our garden is a popular destination all year around and our large conservatory enables our residents to enjoy the beautiful outdoors whatever the weather.

Job Role:

The candidate will have Care Home Deputy Manager experience and the ability to lead and manage a team of staff in the absence of the Care Home Manager, whilst supporting the Manager in the day-to-day running of the Care Home and to proactively deputize were required.

Provide support and leadership to the care home staff. Ensure the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our resident's needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.

Positively influence the reputation of the home - communicating professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and other external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 3 Health and Social or working towards.
  • Deputy Manager or extensive experience as a senior.
